Cancer will affect one in two of us over the age of 50. As Primary Care Clinicians we are seeing patients every day who may be showing early, subtle symptoms and signs of cancer. Having a basic knowledge of investigation and NICE referral guidelines is a start but there have been significant updates and changes in the evidence base. Staying up to date can be a challenge but we can help. Ben and I have been working in cancer improvement services for 30 years between us. We have worked for a decade with Cancer Research UK as Lead GPs for East Midlands. Currently we are Cancer Leads for the East Midlands Cancer Alliance and Ben is a practicing GP in Loughborough. Pawan is a committed Primary Care educator, having delivered multiple learning events at local and national levels.
